Analyst - Clinical Metrics
Location: Louisville, KY - Downtown
This position works closely with Humana's Clinical Program leadership and other departments to ensure the integrity of clinical data and to execute the development and implementation of program operational reporting and performance measures. The Clinical Metrics Analyst is responsible for the definition and analysis of business and data requirements needed to accurately measure program effectiveness in the marketplace. The analyst role is responsible for providing Clinical Programs and Processes with dashboards, reports (production and Adhoc), consultation and analysis.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Business or similar. Graduate degree preferred
- 1 to 2 years professional experience preferred
- Highly proficient with reporting and Query tools including MS Office (Access and Excel). SQL knowledge a plus
- Team player with strong interpersonal relationship, team building, collaboration and facilitation skills
- Must have ability to work closely within a small team or independently, assimilate data and information, make prompt decisions and share results with colleagues
- Must possess strong data analysis skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, especially around data acquisition and delivery
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, other departments, and leadership through written and verbal communication in the highest professional manner
- Must possess strong desire for professional growth and continuous learning
- Physical requirements: This role works mainly at their workstation with a requirement to attend meetings at Humana facilities (within walking distance) located downtown. No lifting over 25lbs required. All Humana facilities are handicap accessible.
Role Description
- Responsible for collecting and documenting business requirements for reporting and analysis initiatives
- Responsible for the design, development, and testing of reporting and analysis initiatives
- Query appropriate data from relevant data sources
- Identify and troubleshoot data anomalies and irregularities
- Understand and communicate technical and business aspects of data management and information support
- Ongoing maintenance, delivery and support of leadership and operational reports
- Continually identify ways to improve and enhance current reports, increasing value and usability
- Provide technical guidance and consultation for reporting and analysis
- Develop and establish strong and effective working relationships with Clinical Program leadership and other departments
- Produce Adhoc reports in an accurate and timely manner as appropriate
- Conduct the independent research necessary to fully understand and correctly utilize the required clinical data

Reporting Relationships
You will report to a Clinical Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operations Officer.
