Production Support Consultant - Merchant Base 24 POS & FACTS
Description: Works in a Prodruction Support unit of technical analysts and is responsible for providing technical support in an on call production support role for applications and environment configurations for several Tandem based systems.
Responsible for assigned maintenance functions and small projects and tasks associated with small or business as usual projects in addition to production support. This includes assigned projects related to new customer configuration and implementations.
Works closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functionality meet the customer's needs. Facilitates and participates in the Production Turn Over & Change Management process. Tasks also include efforts in capacity planning and tuning. May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives.
Provides leadership in production problem definition, triage, restoration and resolution, including interaction with other Production Support groups and tracking systems.
Responsible for performing tasks in development, enhancement, debugging, support, maintenance and testing software applications that support business units or supporting functions. Applies technical and business knowledge to interact with business management to resolve production issues, respond to application related questions and provide consulting as it relates to the application.
Participates in on call rotation for 24X7 system coverage. Involved in individual issues as needed including the system resource assignments, restoration and resolution delivery.
