Role: Business Informatics Analyst Assignment: Business Analytics
Location: Louisville Kentucky

Assignment Capsule
As a business analyst for business informatics you will: consult with associates in other business areas, identifying business requirements and translating those requirements into system specifications. You will also act as a subject matter lead on special projects, providing accurate and timely analysis, design, testing and documentation of complex systems tasks. You will assist team members in detailed analysis of complex data stored within various enterprise repositories including but not limited to the enterprise data warehouse and Metavance claims payment application.

  • Design, guide and oversee the development and implementation of processes which meet the requirements of project owners
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with all impacted business areas
  • Create and lead initiatives for special projects, developing a greater understanding of system and environmental issues in the process
  • Review and analyze results, assisting other business areas with issue resolution
  • Contribute to final decisions regarding the results of analytical findings.

    Role Essentials
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
  • Demonstrated experience with relational databases, including Access, SQL Server and Oracle
  • Microsoft office suite of tools - access, excel, word and Visio.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively document analytic processes, data flows and data sources,


    Role Desirables
  • Prior experience in insurance operations background
  • Experience with data warehouse and/or operational data store environments
  • Experience with analysis of large volumes of data
  • Traditional auditing and data analysis experience
  • Technical documentation abilities
  • Mainframe skills are a plus but not required


    Reporting Relationships
  • You will report to a manager of business informatics
