Assignment Capsule
As a Frontline Leader you will: provide policy and organizational guidance to a team of technology associates, supplying communication and administration oversight and staff supervision to ensure the timely and effective delivery of services and products.


Coach and mentor technology associates for a particular functional IT area, educating them about time management and best practice methodologies

Communicate regularly with other departments to ensure the proper daily completion of the check balancing process

Track the attendance of your associates, verifying and approving their timesheets

Role Essentials

High School Diploma
Progressive work experience in an operational setting, with demonstrated supervisory experience
Applied knowledge of insurance processing and technical processes and practices
Proficient in use of:
CA7 automated scheduler experience required
CA11 experience required
TSO experience required
Problem reporting software desired
Mainframe System IPL and trouble-shooting required
Working knowledge of OS/JCL required
ThruPut Manager experience desired
Good typing skills.
Good communication skills.
Intimate knowledge of mainframe system processing and monitoring
Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheet experienced desired.

Role Desirables

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree of Art or Science
General understanding of economic, financial and operational concepts

Reporting Relationships

You will have 10 direct reports, and you will report to a Technology Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.


Additional Information

Responsibilities of the Technical Operations Front Line Leader for Production Control/Scheduling are as follows:

Oversees the monitoring of 5 mainframe environments & trouble-shooting and mainframe system IPLs.
Escalation of all mainframe issues, including but not limited to Production processing.
Oversees the monitoring of production environments thru CA7, CA11, ThruPut Manager, etc. for 2 separate environments.
Oversee the handling of processing problems, including abend restarts jcl overrides, pre-processing, adhoc submission, temporary CA7 database changes, and problem reporting and escalations.
Statistical Reporting to management.
Reports on processing problems for Service Levels.
Coaching, Couseling, and Development of all Production Control staff.
Accuracy and updating of all area procedures.
Vacation scheduling and coordination
Staffing coordination and performs Team Director responsibilities for Disaster Recovery testing.


NOTE: This role will work 12 hour shifts which will be on a 2 week rotating schedule from 9 pm to 9 am.
