Position in the dynamic and growing area of IT Security. The IT Security Control Guidance Consultant is responsible for reviewing and evaluating the need for internal controls and recommending controls around Information Technology (IT) functions within the Company. The IT Security Control Guidance Consultant is responsible for reviewing and evaluating the computer and operating systems, data centers, policies and procedures, and other information technology functions and assets within the Company. The Consultant works under the direction and supervision of the Director, IT Security, performs control consulting engagements as assigned and works closely with internal business units. The goal of IT Security is to effectively manage risks to Humana's business relating to Information Technology, infrastructure and applications.
Successful candidate must possess an understanding of IT terminology, have a broad technology background, be organized, have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to multitask, and be proactive in addressing issues quickly.
Specific responsibilities will include:
*Meeting with representatives from various business units to analyze needs and recommend controls
* Reviewing and evaluating IT operations, physical security, hardware configurations, IT systems, and operating procedures in use throughout the Company for compliance with established controls, standards, policies and operational procedures
* Identifying technology and control risks within each area.
* Recommending improvements in procedures, processes, operations, and systems across the organization.
* Other special projects as necessary
Requirements include:
Bachelors degree or equivalent
Broad IT experience, preferably in a large corporate environment
One or more of the following certifications are preferred: CISSP, SSCP, CISA, CISM
