Role: Learning Consultant
Assignment: Clinical Guidance Organization
Location: Louisville, KY

Assignment Capsule
As a Learning Consultant you will build organizational capability to achieve business strategies by enhancing the organizations effectiveness and performance. You will also:

  • Engage associates and coach performance.
  • Consult with internal business partners to match organizational needs with the appropriate solutions;
  • Assess learning needs, design, develop and deliver learning interventions.
  • Select appropriate media for delivery to include online tools or content and other blended learning solutions.
  • Review and analyze audit documents and data to identify what can be used to evidence meeting operational standards.

Role Essentials
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or education.
  • Prior leadership development experience.
  • Prior experience with curriculum design combined with stand up facilitation and delivery of complex content.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, Instructional Design, Blended Learning, and Human Performance Improvement.
  • Prior experience creating work products that realize performance-based learning objectives.
  • Prior experience designing and developing learning solutions for a variety of delivery methods.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel); versatile computer user who understands development of various media file-types.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.


Role Desirables
  • Master's degree in adult learning or instructional design/technology.
  • Experience in a Medicare and/or health insurance setting.
  • Knowledge of Humana's internal policies, procedures and systems.
  • Experience in managing projects from initiation to closure, and in developing initiation/charter documentation, work plans, communication processes, and scope change processes.


Reporting Relationships
You will report to a Learning Manager. This area may be under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Officer in Operations or Human Resources.
