Role: Billing & Enrollment Specialist

Assignment Capsule
As a B&E Specialist for Medicare Processing you will: build trusting and productive relationships with Humana's customers while auditing and reconciling premium payments, resolving any discrepancies discovered during the reconciliation process, and monitoring accounts receivable to ensure the accurate and timely collection of all payments.

  • Ensure compliance with all Federal Medicare statutes and policies
  • Review claims, enrollment, and online Medicare systems in order to identify members who are disabled, hospice eligible or who qualify for Medicare benefits
  • Coordinate with other associates and with other departments to ensure that all information is accurately updated in the Medicare system and that Humana receives the correct reimbursements

Role Essentials
  • High School Diploma
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Programs, e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.
  • Ability to type 50-55 wpm


Role Desirables
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous administrative or related experience
  • Experience with Lotus Notes


Reporting Relationships
  • You will report to a Supervisor. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
