Role: Oracle Applications DBA

Role Duties
As a member of the Oracle Applications DBA Team, you will perform maintenance tasks including installation, customization, documentation, debugging and performance tuning on complex projects with system-wide ramifications. You will also act as an area expert on special projects, assisting with the adoption of new technology and creating and refining best-practices.

Support production, development, and test Oracle 11i (11.5.10.x) with Oracle RDBMS 10g (10.2.0.x)
Administer and manage all Oracle ERP Suite components
Support and implement enhancements to Oracle ERP Suite cloning procedures
Research, plan, implement and document procedures for applying patches, upgrades, and installations of Oracle E-Business Suite modules as well as the Oracle Applications Technology Stack (Oracle RDBMS, iAS, Developer Suite, JDK, JInitiator)
Performance tune, monitor, and troubleshoot all components of the Oracle ERP Suite architecture as well as UNIX servers
Assist with the implementation of architecture solutions for the Oracle ERP Suite environment in order to support business objectives
Implement and document backup and recovery procedures for the Oracle ERP Suite instances
Ability to effectively communicate with team members and customers
Participate in 24x7 on call rotation


Role Essentials
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
1+ years experiences supporting the Oracle 11i (11.5.10.x)
2+ years experience supporting Oracle RDBMS or developing applications using Oracle RDBMS
Experience with backup and recovery procedures for Oracle
Experience with UNIX systems
Experience with UNIX Shell scripting

Bonus Essentials
Experience with Linux
Experience with Networking
Experience implementing RMAN
Experience with Oracle DataGuard
Experience with EMC BCVs, IBM Flashcopy, and/or Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices
Experience with Oracle AS 10g
Experience using Oracle Enterprise Grid Control (EM 10g)
