Pharmacy and Therapeutics Clinical Advisor – Louisville

Organization: This role reports directly to the Manager, Pharmacy and Therapeutics

Responsibilities:

• Support clinical programs that improve the quality and costs of pharmaceutical care for commercial and government business
  
• Participate in the Pharmacy and Therapeutics processes and administrative policy development
  
• Interfacing with consumer program strategies
  
• Formulary Management that involves:
  -Developing clinical pharmacy policy on pharmaceuticals
  -Developing pharmacy policy on step therapy, prior authorization, and dispensing limits
  -Developing broader pharmacy policy
  -Providing clinical review support
  -Participating in pharmacy committees as appropriate
  
  Education and Training:
  
• Pharmacist degree (PharmD preferred)
  
• 3 years clinical experience in managed care
  
• Active, unrestricted pharmacy clinical licensure
