Within Pharmacy Research Center, work collaboratively in the design, conduction and analyses of outcomes research and pharmacoeconomic studies and programs:
1.Work with complex health care databases and files to produce statistical output for PRC projects
2.Work on a collaborative team with project managers, clients and clinical researchers to develop research study protocols
3.Determine appropriate data fields and time frame within Humana's data set to be analyzed
4.Determine the appropriate statistical methods to yield desired results and power statistically valid conclusions, conduct analysis and deliver study results.
5.Set realistic time frames for completion of project deliverables
6.Thoroughly documenting all data extractions, analysis plans, project deliverables or outputs
7.Identifying and understanding business and clinical issues and mapping these issues into quantitative questions
8.Support communications for reporting results for studies and programs through presentations, abstracts and publications

Role Essentials
Success in this role requires:
- Advanced degree (Masters, PhD) in statistics or biostatistics
- 2 years experience in outcomes research or other health services research programs
- Experience in working with healthcare administration claims processing systems (pharmacy and medical) and enrollment eligibility systems.
- Experience with software and computer programs that will be utilized, including Secure Email, database, spreadsheet and reporting applications
- Knowledge and experience with statistical analysis and programming such as SAS, SPSS or similar statistical software.
- Strong health sciences vocabulary, communication skills and presentation skills
