Assignment: Regular Full Time

Position Summary/Purpose:
This position will be responsible for supporting activities associated with one or more projects within Humana's Strategic Communications. These projects will be complex in nature, cross-organizational in scope and of significant importance to the organization's commitment to enhancing the consumer, employer, and/or provider experience. This position is responsible for data/information process development and management. The person filling this position will be accountable for developing and maintaining key relationships and working with assigned areas to optimize business results.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analytics, problem solving, product management
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications in order to create detailed requirements for development of various applications / products.
  • Drafting of and input on use cases to be used in development of various applications / products.
  • Review requirements details with business partners, provide feedback and/or comments, and troubleshoot any implementation issues.
  • Explore, draft and prioritize development of application or product work requests and/or change controls and provides complete documentation to support the requests.
  • Provide support to QA and IT partners to ensure the appropriate change controls are implemented.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot observations and/or concerns related to the development of applicable products.
  • Contribute to business planning and application support


    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent field experience
  • 2-3 years of experience managing complex, multiple lines-of-business projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective with Microsoft Suite Tools
  • Prior experience in either the Commercial or Medicare healthcare segment
  • Excellent documentation and project management skills
  • Ability to think in terms of process AND function

    Environment:
    The individual will be required to often work independently with limited guidance and supervision. The individual must be able to identify and set priorities, and follow through to completion.
