Assignment Capsule
The Regional Product Strategist for Humana works closely with the Regional Market and Segment leaders, along with other members of corporate leadership. They will facilitate and influence product decisions. As a result, the Regional Product Strategist candidates must have a strong and broad focus on product issues and all segment-related activities and strategic direction.
- Develop product strategy to be consistent with Humana's overall product strategies
- Push the envelope to try new and innovative ways of looking at the products and its competition, integrating with Humana's provider networks and sales and marketing leadership
- Represent customer needs by researching and presenting to agents, employers and members
- Customize product strategy to meet the requirements of a nationwide focus or market-specific needs
Key responsibilities are defined as:
- Drive strategic direction in conjunction with corporate and segment strategic direction.
- Construct the product continuum to map out product strategy for the short- and long-term (3-5 years)
- Capture and analyze all facets of competitive intelligence surrounding medical products, driving early-to-market product initiatives and responding to competitive positioning.
- Formulate product pricing strategies with segments, markets and finance.
- Monitor the regulatory environment and assess its impact on the segments and markets and ensure compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all Regional and Market Presidents and Market Sales VPs.
- Assess product performance (financial, membership, product line, etc.) for the given segment or region and incorporate findings into strategic objectives.
- Synchronize and work with Segment Product Strategy Leaders as well as Regional Product Managers to ensure consistency. Share best known practices and information whenever possible in order to assess all impacts of new and enhanced products across segments.
- Participate on Product Operations Committee to drive product implementation and product build. Along with all impacted teams, review product requirements from all initiatives and determine priorities and resource needs.

Role Essentials
- Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred (MHA or MBA)
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in senior level position; preferably strategic planning and development
