SAS Data Analyst – Louisville

Responsibilities:
Contribute to the success of the Trend Detection Unit through design, development, evaluation, and modification of SAS programs used to analyze and evaluate medical claims data in SAS by;
1.Develop, test, validate, document, maintain and execute processes designed for the Extraction-Translation-Load of very large data from Oracle to SAS using the currently endorsed tools or support of production activities.
2.Maintain an ongoing relationship with internal customers focusing on improving data quality.
3.Work with internal client representatives on defining and implementing data requirements.
4.Configure SAS software to meet customer requirements.
5.Define and develop datasets per study requirements.
6.Define and develop standard productized datasets.
7.Write programs typically using SAS language or SQL stored procedures.
8.Recognize inconsistencies and initiate resolution of data problems.
9.Implement data management plans designed to meet projects and protocol deadlines.

Requirements:

• BS degree Computer Science or related technical discipline
  
• Experienced programmer/analyst, able to develop applications with little or no supervision using SAS and PLSQL Developer.
  
• Minimum of 2 years experience in SAS development and must be familiar with Enterprise Guide.
  
• A Minimum of 2 years experience with RDBMS programming language
  
• Experience with medical claims data
  
• Experience in Extract-Translate-Load processes
