Job Description - Technical Consultant (Acquisitions)

Responsibilities:

Work with the IT Staffs of acquisitions, Technical services and Network Operations groups as well as the Acquisitions group to integrate the networks and applications of companies Humana acquires.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Manage multiple IT projects within Technical Services by coordinating the efforts of large teams of IT technical resources to accomplish project objectives in a timely and cost-effective fashion.
  • Provide guidance to IT Program Managers for IT integration efforts for new acquisitions assisting with the completion of overall timelines and identifying dependencies with other tasks.
  • Assist with budget estimates for possible future acquisitions during the discovery phase of an acquisition.
  • Project management and IT Lead for multiple corporate acquisition efforts
  • Collaborate with Business leaders to determine project requirements, and to report on project status
  • Other duties as assigned:


    Technology Competencies:

  • Broad understanding of the current Humana certified products which include, but are not limited to: Microsoft Windows NT, Novell Netware, Windows 2000 & 2003, TCP/IP, Microsoft Office, Veritas, TSM, Firewalls, Lotus Notes, NT Administration Tools, McAfee, DNS, DHCP, and Remote Administration Tools.
  • Technical knowledge to involve and work with content experts to research and resolve technical issues, especially those involving firewall and/or networking issues.
  • Ability to test and pinpoint issues to specific areas.
  • The ability to use a 4GL reporting tool within various applications to produce reports, primarily ConfigureSoft and CA Asset Management is beneficial.
  • Microsoft Sharepoint publishing and site management experience.


    Requirements:

  • The right candidate should have an understanding of Humana's network and server architecture.
  • This person should posses the ability to partner with other groups within the organization to implement solutions related to merging the Technical Architectures of 2 networks.
  • A BS in an IT related discipline is a minimum requirement for this position.
  • Travel as required to fulfill job duties.
