Role: Clinical Innovations Consultant
Assignment: Wellness Consultant
Location: Kentucky


This position offers a great opportunity to lead sales presentations and implement wellness services in employer group locations. This individual will work closely with the market sales team to successfully implement services that will positively impact sales and wellness revenue and ultimately improve the health of consumers at employer locations.

Assignment Capsule

  • Makes recommendations and designs programs to reduce health risks that are data driven and support and enhance business plans (examples include weight/lifestyle management, HRA deployment, office ergonomics, and health fairs).
  • Prepares budgets for targeted interventions, programs and projects. Manages programs to budget.
  • Identifies health services that will be outsourced: selects vendors, negotiates and outlines scope of work, and pricing for contracts. Manages vendor performance and outcomes and reports back to customer and MMO.
  • Manages and prioritizes multiple customer requests and projects at any given time. Remains focused on short and long term projects and requests to ensure on-time completion.
  • Builds and retains an effective partnership with community programs, vendors, and Humana providers such as hospitals, physicians, community programs and associations by encouraging and supporting participation in wellness programs developed by me for commercial accounts.
  • Keeps account executives aware of health and wellness offering by conducting presentations periodically. Also, keeps communications with account executives open when involving their customer.


Accountabilities
  • Wellness Revenue and Customer Satisfaction for Wellness Services.
  • Wellness Performance Metrics within each customer group.
  • Timely completion of project deadlines.
  • Successful implementation and transition of initiatives within customer groups.
  • Sales team understanding and knowledge of wellness services.


Additional Competencies
  • Consultation skills which include ability to assess and understand client processes, elicit client understanding, and insight to advise and make recommendations
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Excellent communications skills (both oral and written).


Requirements
  • BS in a Nutrition, Exercise physiology, nursing, or health related field. Masters degree - MPH, MHA, MS Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, Nursing or other healthcare area.
  • 3- 5 years proven industry experience designing, implementing and managing health promotion initiatives.
  • Proven ability to gather, manipulate and analyze data from multiple sources to find workable solutions to process-related issues.
  • Strong ability to understand internal Humana systems.
  • Sales experience
